Dance Direction 2011 Concert – Studio Photography

I’ve been photographing Dance Direction concerts since 2006 and have thoroughly enjoyed both the studio photography and the dress rehearsal photography. While over that time our weddings and portraits have grown to a point where we thought of a new name for the studio a few years ago and have this year finally renamed the studio from Dragonfly Imagery to Cordare Studio. The name Cordare means to “give of one’s heart”. I have such a passion for what I do and now that I have other photographers that work for the studio it was important for all to know what I expect to give to my clients who hopefully become my friends.

Last weekend was that time of year again to set up the studio equipment and photograph some very talented dance students. Jillian, Diana, and Carlene are committed to teaching and sharing their love for the art of dance. Later this month will be their dress rehearsal under stage lighting and I’m looking forward to photographing the dancers in action.

We have so many great family portrait options so that we can get the whole family in the picture. Talk to us soon and will make a time to discuss your options.

A new logo for a new name

We wanted a new name to show how we feel about what we do. Cordare “to give of ones heart” is how we approach ever clients experience in our studio. Now we have a new logo that hopefully gives that feeling.

We have updated this web site, facebook and twitter with the new logo and are happy to hear your thoughts.

My name is Paul Davidson and I’m the principal photographer for Cordare Studio. Many of you would know me from Dragonfly Imagery. Dragonfly imagery has become known for great service and quality and while many clients have appreciated this and recommended my photography services. It’s time to make a name change to Cordare Studio to say more about who we are. With the new name I wanted something more personal and had a meaning for what I do for my clients. Cordare means to give of ones heart.

The change has been a catalyst to register with Facebook and Twitter so you’ll be able share your images easily and keep up with studio news. If you have any comments please feel free to post them here.

We now have portrait and wedding galleries to look through and lots of blog articles with images.

Here’s Lisa and I at the Your Local Wedding Guide expo held at the RNA Showgrounds. This was our last wedding expo as Dragonfly Imagery. Next year we’ll be at the Sofitel in Brisbane, so look at for our new name ….Cordare Studio.
