Bec and James really loved photos with dramatic skies, so for their engagement session we opted for a city lights photoshoot. We started at Southbank and took photos by the Taoist temple.

The warmth from the lights giving off a soft glow in the background of the photos.

Down by the river, the lights from the city glistened on the water. There was this pink hue to (the normally brown) Brisbane River which was created by the gold and red lights on the Victoria Bridge. This effect looked great set against the soft, romantic dress Bec had worn.

Next we walked up by the Wheel of Brisbane on our way to the Old Victoria Bridge monument. By then the skies had really darkened and the city lights had come alive. We took some distance shots of Bec and James to showcase the grandeur of the monument and the city. I love these shots because they convey the sentiment of getting engaged…

You’ve picked that one person in this big, big world, with whom you want to spend the rest of your life.

Ahh, engagement sessions, they give me all the feels. We hope you enjoy these images from Bec and James’ city lights engagement session. Contact Us if you would like to chat about your own inner city shoot.
