Scott and Jay-Lee first met through mutual friends at university.  They were friends for years before finally admitting they each had a crush on the other, and eventually started dating.  Bets were placed by their friends on when they would get engaged.  An overseas holiday to Greece and Turkey attracted the highest bids.  While Scott did find an engagement ring in Santorini he kept it in his pocket for the rest of the trip.  Not long after, on a lazy Saturday morning down by the Brisbane River in New Farm Park with papers and coffees, Scott proposed to a very happy and surprised Jay.

For their engagement portrait session they decided to head out to their chosen wedding venue, Sirromet Winery.  This venue, located just 30km from Brisbane  CBD, boasts a variety of backdrops for taking great portraits.  The picturesque surrounds feature manicured gardens, a restaurant, winery, bushland, dirt roads, rolling hills and a lake, all which complemented the couple’s laid back style.
