The boys enjoyed a bottle of scotch as they got ready for Brad and Kara’s wedding. Just a taste, to calm the nerves. The Groomsmen’s playful personalities were matched by their spotty socks, hidden under their tuxes. The gents looked dapper indeed, and Brad finished off his look by wearing his Grandfather’s cuff links.
We headed over to The Meriton next to find the ladies looking incredibly glamorous. Hair and Make up artist Suzie, from Eye for Style, had worked her magic. We took photos of the ladies as they relaxed in their robes, and enjoyed a little sparkling, until it was time to get dressed.
Brisbane Market Flowers supplied the flowers for the day. Kara opting for an all rose bouquet, and matching posies for her bridesmaids. Big bunches of baby’s breath decorated the ceremony and reception venues.
Kara arrived at Walkabout Creek in Audi 8, and was escorted down the aisle by her Grandmother. The groomsmen walked up the stairs to greet each bridesmaid and assist them down the stairs, which we thought was a very gentlemanly display.
The ceremony was officiated by celebrant Sue Skinner against the beautiful backdrop of the forest lined creek. And afterwards, guests enjoyed canapes and drinks on the deck while the bridal party ventured off for photos on the property.
Heartfelt speeches drew a few tears to the eye, but this was offset by plenty of laughter and cheer. As the evening drew to a close, guests formed a circle to say goodbye to the newlyweds.
